The discharge horn of the fire extinguisher is designed to expand the high velocity carbon dioxide to create a mixture of carbon dioxide gas and snow. However, the nozzles used to inject the carbon dioxide into the discharge horn found in the prior art allow for substantial dead zones within the horn.
